Glass Projects:

Light Boxes :

These boxes were built as prototypes for a lighting project I undertook at Carleton University to update the interior light quality of the administrative building.

The light boxes fit into ceiling coffers around the perimeter of the main floor. They would each be lit and cast a warm light on the concrete walls.

After this project, the boxes were repurposed as candle diffusers. They are roughly six inches square by 14 inches tall.

Each light box was sandblasted in seven stages to give a cascading effect to the light. They can each hold up to four tea lights and be hung by a hook or placed on a table.
