Anatomy 101: This panel was originally made at On The Edge Glass Studio in Winnipeg as a copper foil panel. The panel is an anatomically correct illustration of the posterior surface of the forearm. The panel had an unfortunate accident with a hardwood floor, and needed some TLC.
The arm section was generally intact so the cracked pieces were left in to give an antique feel. The original background was removed and changed from baroque to black water glass which lets the red and cream pieces in the arm glow and stand out from the background. This was emphasized by using a wide lead channel for the perimeter of the arm.
